{"id":1612,"date":"2013-08-20T15:13:10","date_gmt":"2013-08-20T22:13:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chelseamcampbell.com\/?p=1612"},"modified":"2013-08-20T15:18:53","modified_gmt":"2013-08-20T22:18:53","slug":"many-cool-announcements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chelseamcampbell.com\/?p=1612","title":{"rendered":"Many Cool Announcements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So many announcements, in fact, that I can make a BULLETED LIST.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 13px;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/1717755537\/the-trials-of-renegade-x\" target=\"_blank\">kickstarter for <em>The Trials of Renegade X<\/em><\/a> was a rousing success! \u00c2\u00a0It ended at 125%, which is pretty amazing. \u00c2\u00a0Especially since there was a time, for about an hour or so after I first launched it (and, well, all the months leading up to it), where I was pretty sure it was going to finish at zero percent. \u00c2\u00a0Or maybe more realistically like one percent. \u00c2\u00a0(Okay, okay, five percent.) \u00c2\u00a0BUT my doubts were foiled again and everything is coming up awesome.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>If you missed out on the kickstarter, don&#8217;t worry! \u00c2\u00a0<strong>Trials now has a release date and will be out September 26th<\/strong>. \u00c2\u00a0You&#8217;ll be able to get it in ebook, paperback, or hardcover. \u00c2\u00a0(Though if you want a print copy, brace yourself for print-on-demand prices, which are a bit pricier than you might be used to.)<\/li>\n<li>I have THE COVER, and it&#8217;s freaking AWESOME. \u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.raulallen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Raul Allen<\/a>, the same artist who did the cover for <em>The Rise of Renegade X<\/em>, did an amazing job. \u00c2\u00a0It&#8217;s everything I could have hoped for and more, and a perfect follow-up to the first one. \u00c2\u00a0I can&#8217;t reveal it yet, but soon, precioussss. \u00c2\u00a0Soon.<\/li>\n<li>You may or may not have noticed&#8211;<a title=\"When a Book Goes out of Print\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chelseamcampbell.com\/?p=1575\" target=\"_blank\">or seen me talking about it<\/a>&#8211;but the first book is currently unavailable, due to me getting the rights back. \u00c2\u00a0But I&#8217;m happy to announce that it will be back up in the near future&#8211;probably in the next few weeks&#8211;and should be out in time for the sequel&#8217;s release! \u00c2\u00a0I&#8217;m in the process of licensing the cover art now, but once that&#8217;s done I can relaunch. \u00c2\u00a0It will be back up in ebook and hardback and will be making its paperback debut. ;) \u00c2\u00a0(Though what I said earlier about POD prices still applies.)<\/li>\n<li>The movie option for Renegade X got renewed! \u00c2\u00a0I have no idea where they are with the project (well, I have <em>some\u00c2\u00a0<\/em>idea, but my knowledge on it is several months outdated, and I&#8217;m not sure what I&#8217;d be allowed to tell people even if I did know something), only that it&#8217;s still in the works. \u00c2\u00a0So, as always, getting renewed doesn&#8217;t mean there will actually <em>be<\/em> a movie, but it&#8217;s still a possibility!<\/li>\n<li>And, finally, with both books for sure coming out and having covers and all that, I&#8217;m thinking of doing audiobook versions as well through ACX. \u00c2\u00a0(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.acx.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">ACX<\/a> is awesome and makes audiobook production an option for authors and helps them find narrators. \u00c2\u00a0I went through them for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Harper-Madigan-Junior-High-Private\/dp\/B00CF7JQYM\/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1366368235&amp;sr=8-4&amp;keywords=harper+madigan\" target=\"_blank\">Harper Madigan<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0and was really happy about the whole process and especially with how the book turned out.) \u00c2\u00a0I have to admit to being kind of nervous about hearing someone else read for Damien and the other RRX characters I&#8217;ve had in my head for so long. \u00c2\u00a0(And what if I hear their voice in my head from then on instead of mine???) \u00c2\u00a0So if I don&#8217;t find the right narrator, it will be a no-go. \u00c2\u00a0But there are a lot of talented voice actors, so I am hopeful that the right one is out there.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And so my bulleted list comes to an end! \u00c2\u00a0This next month is going to be really exciting as I get ready to launch all this, and then of course everyone finally getting to actually\u00c2\u00a0<em>read<\/em> the sequel is pretty mind blowing, too!\u00c2\u00a0<del><\/del><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So many announcements, in fact, that I can make a BULLETED LIST.
